The labor which manifests itself to make a product a use value is useful labor.

Productivity and Time: the same quantity of labor will yield the same value but different quantity of use value.
No change in productivity affects the labor represented by value.
Labor is an expenditure of human labor power in abstract form creates value of commodities. On the other hand, it is a specific kind of human labor creates use values.
